The Insightful Leader Live: How to Navigate Work Relationships in a Virtual World

Are you living your best virtual life? For the last 20 months, many of us have been unwitting participants in a global experiment on virtual communication. So we know firsthand that what works well in face-to-face environments doesn’t always transfer over to virtual ones. But virtual work is here to stay: it’s time to lean in and learn to become an effective leader in this environment. In this webinar, Kellogg Professor Leigh Thompson will outline the advantages and challenges of virtual communication. She’ll also share 6 best practices, from running a productive (and creative) meeting to nailing that all-important “virtual handshake.”

Leigh Thompson is the J. Jay Gerber Distinguished Professor of Dispute Resolution and Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management. An acclaimed researcher, author, and speaker, Thompson focuses on negotiation, creativity, and teamwork. Thompson’s most recent book is Negotiating the Sweet Spot: The Art of Leaving Nothing on the Table.
