The Insightful Leader Live: How AI Reflects Human Bias … and What to Do about It.

Many of today’s business leaders are eager to incorporate artificial intelligence across their organizations, from hiring to operations to marketing. But AI is not immune to bias. Identifying the various ways biases infiltrate AI and mitigating the effects of those biases can improve trust in the technology and make it more effective. Join Tessa Charlesworth and William Brady, assistant professors of management and organizations, for a discussion on how to recognize and minimize biases in your organization’s AI initiatives.

Tessa Charlesworth is an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations. Her research tackles the questions of how and why our thoughts (beliefs) and feelings (attitudes) change over time. Her research adopts a multi-level and multi-method approach to understand change as it unfolds within individuals, organizations, and the broadest level of our collectives.

William Brady is an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations. His research examines the dynamics of emotion at the social network-level and their consequences for group behavior. His recent work studies how human psychology and AI-mediated social contexts interact to shape our emotions and intergroup attitudes.
