The Insightful Leader Live: Why We Shouldn’t Give Up Hope on Climate Change

Meghan Busse is an associate professor of strategy at Kellogg, where she teaches the core strategy course and elective courses on energy and climate. In her research, Busse investigates how firms respond to the economic incentives created by climate and energy policies and how those strategic responses influence the effectiveness of policies in achieving their goals.
Matthew Roling is a clinical assistant professor of management and organizations and the inaugural executive director of the Abrams Climate Academy—a year-long experiential-learning program at Kellogg that equips graduate students with the tools, knowledge, and connections to lead climate action and develop innovative solutions to the climate crisis.
We look at the business of climate change, asking what happens when corporate leaders, investors, policymakers, and technologists try to make changes—and why they keep hitting a wall.
